A radioactive reaction as shown . How many alpha and beta particles are emitted ?

1 ) A radioactive reaction  as shown . How many alpha and beta particles are emitted ?

A ) α = 8 , β = 6 ,                              B ) α = 7 , β = 7 ,

C ) α = 8 , β = 8 ,                             D ) α = 6 , β = 8 ,

Correct Answer : -  A ) α = 8 , β = 6 ,

Solution : -

2 ) Element with atomic no .  Z > 82  are ……….  ,

A ) stable ,                                               B ) unstable ,

C ) None of these ,

Correct Answer : - B ) unstable ,

3 ) A fan of moment of inertia 0.6 kgm² is turned up to working speed of 0.5 rps ( revolution per second ) . The angular momentum of fan ?

A ) 0.6 π ,                                                B ) 1.8 π ,

C )  2.6 π ,                                               D ) None of these ,

Correct Answer : - A ) 0.6 π ,

Solution : -

Given data : -

I = 0.6 kgm² ,

f = 0.5 s^(-1) ,

L = ?

Formula : -

L = I w  ,

So first we find value of omega ( w ) ,

w = 2πf ,

w = 2π(0.5) = 1π ,

So , angular momentum : -

L = I w ,

L = ( 0.6 ) ( 1π )  = 0.6π   ,   Answer

4 ) ( Magnetron ) ………… is used to generate microwaves in micro wave oven .

5 ) which bulb will glow brighter a 40 watt 0r a 100 watt in parallel ?

A ) 40 watt ,                                             B ) 100 watt ,

C ) both will glow same ,                         D ) None of these ,

Correct Answer : -  B ) 100 watt ,

Because more current will flow and have less resistance ,

P = (I^2)R  ,

So 100 watt will glow brighter .

And  power is inversely related to resistance by formula ; P = V^2 / R .
