1 ) The Solution contains 10 ml of 0.1 NaOH and 10 ml of 0.05 Na2SO4 .  pH of solution is . . . . . . . . . : -

A ) base ,                                                   B ) acid ,

C ) neutral ,                                                D ) None of these ,

Correct Answer : -   A ) base ,

Method 1 : -

So first check equivalent : -

So , Eq of NaOH = 10 x 0.1 = 1 M Eq.

Eq of Na2SO4 = 10 x 0.05 = 0.5 M Eq.

So remaining 0.5 M Eq. of NaOH and so pH of base is  greater than 7 .

Method 2 : -

NaOH  +  Na2SO4    ------>  . . . . . . . . . . . . . ,

So , NaOH is strong base and pH of strong base is greater than 7 .

Na2SO4 is salt because Na2 is strong base and SO4 is strong acid . And pH of salt is equal to 7 .

So , pH of solution is greater than 7 . So , pH of solution is base .

2 ) Why BeO is atmospheric in nature ?

Because BeO dissolve in both strong acid and base solute .

3 ) Ozone layer refers to reduction in thickness of Ozone layer in stratosphere .

4 ) Graphite is good conductor of electricity and diamond is not .

5 ) Hydrogen is reactive element . It reacts all elements except  VIII A  in periodic table . The compound that forms hydrogen are known as hydrides . The bonding between hydrogen and other elements is always covalent .

6 ) Base principle of crystallization is that amount of solute that can be dissolved by a solvent increases with temperature .

7 ) When pressure increases , so density will increase and vice versa .
